SRWorld’s largest tidal turbine preparing for installation at EMEC

Scotrenewables Tidal Power is performing final commissioning checks on the SR2000 floating tidal turbine before connecting the device to its mooring system at EMEC’s Fall of Warness grid-connected test site in Orkney, managed by the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC), according to Scottish media.

Tribute Resources has acquired a 0.9MW tidal energy project from Fundy Tidal. The Petit Passage tidal project is a contracted development stage tidal energy project located between Digby Neck and Long Island in Digby County, Nova Scotia.

The world’s first fully-operational tidal array in Shetland has been delivered with over 80% Scottish supply chain content.
