OpenHydro recruiting for various positions

OpenHydro, a tidal technology developer based in Greenore, County Louth, Ireland, is looking to expand its team with various job openings.

OpenHydro, a DCNS company, has almost 1.7 GW of tidal energy projects in the pipeline, in Ireland, as well as internationally including in UK, France, Canada, the US and Asia.

The company is seeking to expand its team with the following job openings: Commercial Manager, ERP System Analyst, Project Manager, Senior Quality Manager, Senior R&D Power Control Engineer, and Technical Manager.

As Commercial Manager, the successfull candidate will work with OpenHydro’s Country Managers and Senior Managers to conclude profitable turbine system sales contracts with OpenHydro’s prospective customers, while also being responsible for the initiation, management and delivery of commercial and pricing strategies for direct sales opportunities, amongst other tasks.

As OpenHydro is scaling up its capabilities to produce and deploy turbines internationally on an industrial scale, the company is seeking a systems analyst to join the IT team to define and implement integrated solutions in support of significant process change in the exciting growth environment.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful end to end delivery of commercial projects, from development through to installation, and operations and maintenance.

The scope of work for Senior Quality Manager includes verseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality strategy, policy and procedure across all of OpenHydro’s businesses, both onshore and offshore.

The responsibilites of R&D Power Control Systems Engineer will be appropriate to the experience level of the successful candidate, OpenHydro informed, but may include working within the R&D team to develop power control, conditioning and transmission systems appropriate for the subsea environment, amongst other duties.

The Technical Manager will report to the Design Manager on all technical matters relating to the requirements for the successful delivery of the pre-commercial arrays and standard product developments in various site locations.

The responsibilites of Technical Manager include technical co-ordination and direction-setting of the specified project in accordance with the organisation’s short and long-term goals.
