Loxton is a Mining engineer with experience spanning 30 years including formulating project development strategies, completing feasibility studies, conducting due diligence, executing capital raisings, mergers, acquisitions, asset divestments and introduction of best practices.

Most recently, he has been Executive Chairman and Director of Yowie Group for 4 years.

Loxton has been involved in numerous project evaluations within Australia and overseas including the completion of strategic and commercial due diligence studies, bankable feasibility studies, project construction and the negotiation of offtake agreements, Protean Energy said.

Bevan Tarratt, Protean Energy’s Chairman, said: “Wayne’s mining industry experience, including his proven ability to successfully progress exploration projects and negotiate offtake agreements, will prove invaluable in the advancement of the Daejon Vanadium project.”

Protean Energy is focused on the commercialization of its wave energy technology, with plans to start pilot commercial trials in the second half of 2017.
