The European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) is seeking to add a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to its team to assist with the delivery of testing services for wave and tidal generating devices at the Orkney testing center.

The scope of work for Senior Electrical Test Engineer includes ensuring that EMEC’s electrical systems meet client’s requirements and are operated to relevant standards in a safe and efficient manner.

Also, the successful candidate will work closely with clients, participate in technology design reviews and deliver power performance assessments of wave and tidal energy technologies, EMEC said.

The role is permanent and full-time, and will also entail managing the operation of EMEC’s electrical systems, ensuring availability of HV electrical connections and a range of electrical measurement equipment.

The closing date for applications has been set for August 7, 2017.
