Minesto is looking to enter into a framework agreement of general support services for various marine operational needs for its Deep Green tidal project.

The agreement is to allow Minesto to purchase services, systems, materials via an approved supplier within a framework outlining such services and costs for same, Minesto informed.

It will cover general support services for a variety of operational needs including, but not limited to trials and development program for LARS and replica kite; and support services related to establishing the assembly hall and services within.

Under the agreement, Minesto is also requesting support for providing additional engineering with respect to maintenance, repair, and recovery for any aspect of Minesto’s operation which may not be covered by consequent Installation or O&M contracts.

The scope of required services also includes installation of buoys, mooring systems, subsea data recording systems, current meter readings, seabed surveys, ROV support, and diving.

The deadline to apply to tender is set for April 5, 2017.

Minesto plans to deploy a 500kW tidal power plant in Holyhead Deep, off Northern Wales, later this year. The site could be potentially scaled-up to form a tidal array of up to 80MW.
