Orkney Orkney pre-qualifying developers for Churchill Barriers tidal project

Orkney Islands Council has invited interested parties to pre-qualify for a competition to obtain a concession for the installation of tidal energy technology across two sites at Churchill Barriers.

 

Tidetec Tidetec displays its tidal prototype in Svelvik, Norway

Tidetec, a Norway-based hydropower technology company, displayed its turbine turning mechanism prototype in Svelvik on 13 August, ahead of sea testing.

 

 

Meygen.MeyGen project components readying for installation (photos)

Another Andritz 1.5MW tidal turbine has left the factory, with foundation stabs and a massive cable management system currently being mobilised for the MeyGen project, according to Atlantis Resources’ social media pages.
